Lenox Crystal 1St Annual Christmas Ornament Bell 1983This very special lenox crystal first annual christmas ornament bell from 1983 comes in the original silver lenox crystal elegant box with red trim. The bell is 3&1/2 tall (including the round hand blown handle) wtih a circumference of 7 at the bottom. It is hand blown lead crystal and trimmed with 2 borders of silver, 1 very narrow and the other all along the bottom rim. The bell is etched with the year 1983 on the front between the silver borders. The pine boughs and pine cones pattern is also finely etched all around the bell. The box has this same pattern on it down teh front right side which can be seen in the photo. The ringer is attached in the center inside of the bell and is made from a silver chain that hangs down about 2 with a round crystal at the end of the chain giving the wonderful special ring of crystal against crystal when the bell is moved. A red satin ribbon hanger is attached to the top loop for hanging.The box is lined with cream colored satin fabric with a silver covered thin elastic piece that holds the bell ni place when in the box. The bell is in mint condition. The inside lid of the box has a tear on the cardboard that protects the bell when inside which has been cleanly repaired but is still visible. The top left outside corner also has a cleanly repaired tear. Considering the age of this very elegant perfect bell (25 years old) which is a first edition, retired, along with the original box (even with the repair of the tears), a bell or especially a lenox bell collector would be thrilled to have this in their collection. Another unique feature of this item is that the box is silver and the bell is 25 years old this year! Teh silver anniversary! Don't let this fine collectible pass you by!
