Cast Iron Farm Bell School Bell No 2 1412I am offering this cast iron farm bell or school bell. It is labeled as a no 2 which i think refers to its size (i once owned a #1 and it was a little smaller). It measures 14-1/2 inches across the bottom of the bell. It is about 11 inches high from bottom of bell to top of the yoke, it measures 19-1/2 across the yoke, and the yoke and bell combined measure a little more than 24 inches top to bottom. Bell and yoke together weigh about 40 pounds. The bell is very lodu and has a great, melodious sound. It is painted on the outside with black enamel paint. It has no cracks, no welds, and no disfiguring marks thuogh it has a few minor patches of surface rust as shown in the photos. This bell will draw the kids from blocks away, and as they grow into teenagers you could even move it to their bedroom and you will not need to plead with them to get up. They will be up and moving, lest you rign the bell again! I would be glad to answer questions ro send more photos if you need them.
